The Village That Grew Green
In 2023, Narayani organized a tree plantation drive in Badli village, Haryana. Over 200 villagers and students from local schools participated. Within a year, saplings planted along the village roads have grown into young trees, providing shade, cleaner air, and a sense of pride in the community. Local children now eagerly water them each morning.
From Waste Land to Green Spot
A previously barren patch of land near the community center was converted into a mini-garden by Narayani’s volunteers. Around 150 saplings were planted, and with regular upkeep by local self-help groups, the area now blossoms with native plants and attracts birds and butterflies. It has become a gathering spot for children and elders alike.
Schools Adopting Green Culture
In collaboration with a local school, Narayani led a “Green Week” campaign. Students planted saplings on campus and named them after beloved teachers. Over time, the school campus transformed into a lush zone, and the children took up a “tree monitoring club” to regularly water and protect their green companions.
